Ilminster Bowling & Tennis Club are welcoming Louis Ridout for a celebration night to honour his Commonwealth Games Gold Medal - Louis has gifted his championship winning Gold plaque to the club as part of Golden Gateways when the winner of the medal started their career in the sport

About the event
Team England’s gold medallists will each nominate their sporting venue of significance; somewhere that has had an impact on their sporting journey, be it the club where they first tried their sport out, a school, gym or a local leisure centre. Over the coming weeks, each venue will be gifted a ‘Golden Gateway’ plaque to symbolise its role as each athlete’s personal ‘gateway’ into the sport, setting them on the road to Commonwealth Games success for Team England.
Ilminster will be holding this event after Louis decided to place his award placque at Ilminster Bowling Club . The club will be welcoming Louis , Kellie , Isla and his family to the event . The club will be providing a buffet and running a celebration drinks evening in honour of this event .
