Ilminster Tennis Section

Ilminster Tennis Club is situated in the old Somerset market town of Ilminster. A friendly and sociable environment awaits you at Ilminster Tennis Club where all ages and abilities are catered for.

The club has all year round coaching, tournaments and competes in local Tennis Leagues on three all weather floodlit courts.

Whether you are looking for team tennis, social play or wanting to brush up your skills with some coaching, rest assured that Ilminster Tennis Club is the club for you.

New members are always welcome to join our growing tennis club in Somerset.

Members are not required to pre-book tennis courts. However, it is suggested that members refer to the league match 'home' fixtures lists in the tennis pavilion , review the calender on the club website or prior to arranging a tennis game during the months of May, June, July and the 1st week of August.

Guests may be introduced by a Member up to a maximum of 3 times in a year after which time they must apply for membership before being further admitted.

To help you familiarise yourself with the Club and its facilities we would be delighted to arrange for a member of the Committee to show you around and also to introduce you to other members of the Club.

New members may collect their membership card from the bar in the main Clubhouse.

Members may bring guests 3 times during the year at a fee of £3.50 per guest, payable at the bar in the main Clubhouse or the money may be put into the Visitor's box in the tennis pavilion.

Floodlight light tokens may be obtained from behind the bar in the main Clubhouse.  Each token costs £2.00 and lasts 30 minutes

Balls are provided for members.  Balls for Club Play are in the rack just inside the door of the pavilion.

Balls located in the large bucket can be used for serving practice.

Information about events, such as quiz nights, can be found on board going up the stairs to the bar.  Events, unless otherwise noted, are open to all club members.
